.NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME generic domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal sites only. These domains can be personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other labels people are famous by. Initially, just 3rd-level registrations were allowed, so if you wanted to order john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also allowed. Already registered third-level names remained running.

Through our firm, you can obtain your .NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to switch the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an active domain to our firm if you obtain its EPP transfer code from the present domain provider and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no specific requirements on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the idea behind its creation alive, the .NAME Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain, the registration could be challenged.

The .NAME extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no added cost. In this way, your dot NAME domain will be recognized in your country or region with the proper spelling in your native language.
