A catch-all email mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain. For example, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from pals or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud web hosting platform and you have a hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain. The Email Manager section of the Hepsia Control Panel comes with quite a lot of functions, but it is stunningly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox requires just a mouse click. All the email addresses that you have will be enumerated in this section alphabetically and you will just need to click the "Catch-all" button associated with the given address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either disable the latter feature or select a different mailbox. Deactivating the catch-all option is just as simple and requires yet another mouse click on the very same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be set up with a couple of mouse clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be administered through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you will be able to set up email addresses with any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all option for a given mailbox, you’ll need to click the button with the same name, which will be to the right of each mailbox. Disabling this option can be achieved in the very same way and will not take more than a click either. If the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a given domain name, you will receive a warning alert. The same is valid if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never edit or deactivate anything automatically.
