There are 2 services you'll need for a functioning site - a domain plus a hosting plan for it. Any time you type the Internet domain in your Internet browser, you see the content that’s uploaded within the website hosting account, but if that domain name is not linked to such an account or to an email service, it is parked. Put simply, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it lacks content of its own. Rather, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” page from the registrar company, or it can be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The benefit of parking a domain name is that you can keep it and be sure that nobody else will take it. At the same time, it will not occupy a slot for a hosted domain inside your account. You could also park domains if you have a .com, for example, and you register domains with other extensions such as .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main site in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Hosting

If you have a hosting through us, you are going to be able to park each of your domain names easily. The feature is offered for the domain addresses registered with our company, and not for the ones that are only hosted here and directed from another company, as a domain address can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager instrument will permit you to pick from a number of templates and you'll be able to add your own text to any of them. Forwarding a domain address to an alternative URL is as easy as only typing the web address and saving it. If you decide to host any of your parked domain addresses, it takes only a mouse click to do it and our system will do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, setting up the needed DNS records, etc. For much easier management, you're going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered within the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

Our semi-dedicated servers do not have a restriction for the number of domain names you can park. This function is offered for domain names which are registered through us and not ones that are only hosted, since the service is always provided only by the registrar. Parking any of your domains is really basic and takes several clicks with the feature-rich Domain Manager instrument, which you’ll be able to access through your Hepsia website hosting CP. You're going to have a variety of parking templates to pick from and you can add custom text to each of them - Under Construction, Parked Domain, For Sale, and so on. Un-parking a domain name is just as simple and what is more, our system will set up all the needed records and it will set up a folder inside the File Manager section automatically, so you will not need to do anything manually.
